Recognition of the Center for Pharmacy Practice Accreditation (CPPA) continues to increase as CPPA’s accreditation activities expand. Pharmacy benefit managers and health plans such as Express Scripts, Prime Therapeutics, Centene-Sunflower Health Plan, MedImpact and US Script now recognize CPPA’s accredited pharmacy practices for many of their network qualifications. CPPA accreditation of community, specialty and telehealth pharmacy practices is based upon practice standards that recognize quality, safety and efficiency in the provision of patient care. CPPA accreditation has become an important differentiator for pharmacy practices to demonstrate high standards in the provision of quality patient care and meaningful patient care outcomes.

The Center for Pharmacy Practice Accreditation (CPPA) is a nonprofit organization established in 2012 through a partnership of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), to recognize pharmacy practices for providing patient care services that improve health outcomes and contribute to lower healthcare costs. The CPPA mission, unique among accreditors, is to raise the level of pharmacy-delivered patient care services through accreditation and, thus, serve the public health.
